Become a St. Mary’s High School student
Scroll down for a timeline of the admissions process.
In just four short years at St. Mary’s, our students grow socially, academically and in their faith to help them succeed in college and beyond. We’re delighted that you’re interested in joining the St. Mary’s family. Based on your child’s current grade level, there are a few action items we recommend you and your child take to apply for admission.
Open House will take place September 29th (9am-12pm) and 30th (5-7 p.m.). Prospective students and their families are invited to meet current students, administration, faculty, staff, coaches, parents, graduates, and members of our Board of Trustees. It’s a great opportunity to determine how St. Mary’s High School can be the right fit for your family! Application forms for admission to St. Mary’s are available online and a portion needs to be submitted to your son/daughter’s elementary or middle school office. October is also a time for students to shadow and see what it’s like to be a part of the Lancer family. The Placement Exam Review Course runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. November 6-8th, 2024. All essential elements of the Placement Exam are covered, and practice tests assist students with critical thinking and test-taking skills. The Placement Exam is the Saturday before Thanksgiving, this year November 23, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and costs $20. Eighth grade students interested in attending St. Mary’s must register to take the placement exam. Criteria for awards and scholarships are primarily based on each student’s placement exam test results. All applying students who would like to be considered for our Tuition Assistance Program can apply online. The deadline for the 2024-25 school year is December 31, 2024. St. Mary’s mails acceptance notifications to new students. If qualified, students also receive scholarships and tuition assistance awards within their acceptance packets. Freshman Registration begins in late January each year. An online link will be sent out to all accepted students with information on how to pay online and submit the necessary paperwork in order to become a member of the St. Mary’s High School Class of 2029. Fine Arts Night is helpd in late April each year and includes an Art Show at 6 p.m. and the Spring Concert at 7 p.m. Current and prospective students, along with their families, are invited to attend. All accepted students are strongly encouraged to attend our Freshman Orientation. This is where our new students will meet their classmates and upperclassmen mentors to have a chance to get to know one another! It also covers important elements insuring a smooth transition to high school life. Students will be given their schedules as well. In addition, students will learn about time management skills and meet some of their teachers. Freshman Student Orientation will take place sometime in July. Freshmen Parent Orientation will take place in August, directly followed by the Lancer Block Party & Tuition Raffle.
